'Perfect Attachment' Gripping from the very start! I can already see it as a Netflix Nordic crime drama. Hopefully there are more books to come!
A compelling read from the start, this psychological thriller introduces a whole new concept of criminal investigation. Investigating academics who have taken research too far, the detectives on the case get pulled into their own, disturbing dramas. A gripping, thought-provoking read that I’d recommend to anyone who enjoys intelligent thrillers with a twist.
This made me grin for the entire book! This is what the world needs now, more fun and absurdity. MontyPythonesque. This is a book that absolutely MUST be available in the water closet at all times.
A fabulous refreshingly sideways glance at the very ordinary everyday conundrums life generously gifts us. I thoroughly enjoyed this unique read & loved the chapter about the life of a missing sock!!
Love Notes and Sticky Tape by Julien St. James is a beautifully written, deeply atmospheric novel that explores the tension between tradition and personal freedom in a watchful, tight-knit community. St. James’s lyrical prose flows effortlessly, pulling readers into a world where appearances often mask deeper truths. With vivid imagery and poignant storytelling, the novel captures the courage it takes to leave safe harbors behind and follow one’s own path. It's a moving and memorable reminder that some messages—and some lives—are meant to travel far beyond familiar shores.
Love Note is a touching, gentle, and thoughtful novel set on a Japanese island where paper boats carry messages from the past. The poetic writing and the rich details make your brain travel. It describes themes of love and courage, blended with mystery and tradition.
"Gallery of Whispers is a wonderful story that showcases the importance of community, art, and perseverance, told in beautifully written prose."
"Love Notes and Sticky Tape" This little novella is such a beautiful piece of work, full of lyrical prose, wonderful imagery, and pure heart. If you're a fan of literary fiction or travel literature, I can't recommend this piece highly enough. Ideally read outside on a cloudy day, so you can feel that bittersweet and heartfelt haze that permeates the book all the more."
